Has your site photocell become defective?
No problem: Use the Davicom Cortex’s integrated sunrise/sunset calculator to control tower, and site security lights.
Broadcast transmitter remote control for AM, FM and TV sites. A Davicom Davicom CORTEX monitors the transmitter and the site around it, and acts locally when the link drops.

Many of the largest public and private broadcast networks in the world use Davicom systems to monitor and control their transmitter sites. This ensures that the listening public has uninterrupted access to broadcast information because site equipment status and performance is continuously monitored.
Davicom remote monitoring systems can be deployed in small as well as in larger networks comprised of hundreds of transmission sites. The units may be networked and connected to a NOC (Network Operation Center) for global monitoring of transmission sites.
On-site equipment can be connected to Davicom units through SNMP, MODBUS or standard GPIO (General Purpose I/O) interfaces, and Davicom units can be reached from outside the site through IP network links, serial data modems or via legacy PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) connections.
Remote management refers to monitoring, control and operation of electronic or electromechanical equipment located at a remote site from the operator. For larger networks, the operator can be at a central site called the NOC, or Network Operation Center. Remote management applications are almost limitless. At the core of the remote management process is the Remote Telemetry Unit (RTU), a device with communication, measurement and control capabilities.
The RTU is usually installed at each site where monitoring, reporting and control is required. It collects all relevant data from other equipment, analyzes it, performs actions based on specific rules defined by the user and sends alarms to the NOC or to the user.
From managing a remote mountain-top broadcast transmitter, an HVAC system in a building or water pumps in the middle of a city, an RTU finds application almost everywhere.
No problem: Use the Davicom Cortex’s integrated sunrise/sunset calculator to control tower, and site security lights.
No problem: Use the signal rectifier that is built-in to every Metering input on the Davicom Cortex and continually check for audio loss on the channel.
No problem: Use the Davicom Cortex’s built-in Agent to convert analog readings into SNMP OID fields that can be read by a remote SNMP Manager.
No problem: Use the Davicom Cortex’s built-in Activity Timers to estimate fuel level from total generator run-time.
No problem: Use the Davicom Cortex’s built-in microphone or line inputs to remotely listen to ventilation fans, compressor motors, radar gearboxes or on-air audio.
No problem: Use one of the Davicom Cortex’s built-in versatile event schedulers to start and end the test.
Davicom Cortex units can enhance the reliability of, and facilitate remote access to your site equipment. Interconnection is possible through GPIO or SNMP.
