DTPI is a temperature probe interface that can handle up to 4 “one-wire” DS18B20 or DS18S20 temperature probes (sold separately).
Temperature probes are available in three cable lengths: 1m, 5m and 15m with pigtail connections. The DTPI has been tested with cable lengths of up to 15m.
When a temperature probe is connected to either the terminal block or the corresponding 1/8 stereo jack, the associated reading becomes available to the Davicom CORTEX unit.
A Davicom CORTEX is not required. The DTPI carries its own SNMP agent and its own front-panel display: each probe reads out locally in Celsius or Fahrenheit, and any SNMP manager can poll the four temperatures with a simple SNMP GET. The MIB file is on DEX.

The interface reads nothing on its own: probes are ordered separately, up to four per interface, in any mix of cable lengths.
